Blasphemy

“Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation”— because they said, “He has an unclean spirit.” Mark 3:28-30

Knowing that this picture exists makes eternal condemnation all the more worth it.

  1. Oh dear, it took me ages to work that out! I was looking for a bad word, and all the time in the back of my head was singing YMCA. Can’t stop laughing now I see it!

About that quote, does that mean everyone who has exclaimed “Oh my god!” or “Jesus Christ!” in a non-religious context is going to hell?

    1. I’m glad you got it! I think it is just hilarious!

I am going to go ahead and say that it is safe to assume that that particular verse would be applicable to both “Oh my god!” and “Jesus Christ!” only because using the lord’s name in vain is not only a violation of one of the ten commandments, but is highly disapproved of and severely punishable in other places throughout both the old and new testaments.

Does this mean I will be seeing you in hell? 🙂

What do you think?
